- Don’t refer new study materials during final stage of preparation.
- Make a book for one liners or those you get confused always, prepare flowcharts, diagrams, years in extension, Figures of census, etc. Do proper analysis, make some patterns. Just overview this points before 1-2 days of exams. Don’t even think about topics which are left behind.
- Attempt limited number of mock tests, don’t invest much time in that, rather go for precise revision.
- Don’t think more about scores and ranks of mock tests. Review why questions are getting wrong, what improvements can be done.
- Read instructions carefully. Understand different symbols used for responses in CBT.
- Evaluate, why you can’t attempt questions (Unknown topic, unknown options, confused state, 50-50, less confident, etc.)
- Read questions very very carefully, it’s the key to avoid silly mistakes – Read terms carefully: Miracidium & metacecaria, Ilium & Ileum, etc.
- Use elimination strategy, make educated guess, you can see videos on YouTube regarding how to solve MCQ’s of NEET PG, etc.
- Optimum attempt of question is 90% (100-110 Q.), neither 100% nor 80% (exceptions are always there), but try to attempt maximum number of questions.
- If You are confident about then attempt
95+ questions Attempt all questions
80 questions 110 questions
70 questions 90 questions
60 questions 80 questions (60×4 = 240 – 20 =220)
Take calculated risk
11. Solve in 3 phases
1st – solve Easy, 100% confident questions
2nd – solve moderate flag one which requires little time
3rd – go to hard quest, not every hard quest which seems to be hard, apply basic logic and knowledge maybe you can solve it
4th – OVERVIEW AND CHECK ALL YOUR ATTEMPTED QUESTIONS
- Don’t go for hard 1st, give time to your subconscious mind to think
- Even if you can’t attempt 1st 10 quest, no worries, 1st solve easy ones.
- What if I get a Mental Block? Or I become blank?? Just keep calm, take 1 minute break, drink water, take a deep breath, calm down and then solve!!
- Of the question you know the concept but not answer… WAIT, think properly, apply your knowledge of that subject, logic, elimination & attempt it later give it some time.
- Don’t start to guess answer and do tukka, if you get into that cycle, you will attempt without thinking.
- If you are confused in two options you can take calculated risk. If you are confused in three options/ or you know nothing of the question, its better not to attempt it (not if you have 100 questions right).
- Don’t waste time in calculating the expected score in exam itself. Just try to solve Mark for review questions.
Be confident and believe in yourself… Best Wishes…..!!
