Very useful information…Thank you Sir
sir is this the current data including 2018 or only upto 2017
Dear
The 2018 is not yet available, therefore it is upto 2017 only.
I agree that your statistics are of 2012 census.I ,however, find it difficult to reconcile that last census of 2017 has not been published despite a lapse of 2 years. Also,I have been associated with animaI care for over two decades.I find it difficult to accept that we have ,on an average, nearly 100 animal care centers in a district .The privately run Gaushalas and Panjarapols do not receive proper attention. That should also find a place in your study.
Please also add information on disposal of dead animals. It has become more relevant due to pressures from various animal lover groups.
Dear Sir
Thank you for your kind and enlightening suggestions. Next time these will be taken care of. As far as the census is concerned, indeed there is a lapse of 2 years and this thing is in hands of DADF, MoA. Census 2012 was added as new census was not available.
Dear Dr Singh,
Need tp check some data for accuracy. Incidentally I was doing dome research on the cattle productivity and cam across the figures for milk production. The figures were different from the NDDB report but more than that its the units which need to be checked. Here in your data its shown as MT whereas it should be 000MT (Thousand MT). Similarly in other figures related to milk production. Kindly check and validate.
Dear Sir
In my data, MT stands for Million Tonnes. I have taken this data from Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics available at DADF website.
Sir,
Good information.
But per capita availability of meat need to be checked.
Thank you
Thanks Sir
Good, but i could not find per capta , poultry meat consumption in WEST BENGAL specifically
Very good information at a glance. Useful for planning of fodder availability and need. Sir, pl focus on fodder availability.
